Kathey Brown is our guest speaker. Kathey retired from Caterpillar after 31 years in middle management of the information technology department. After retirement, Kathey became the director of Birth Right in Independence, Iowa while her husband studied to become a pastor. Together they started a coffee shop outreach ministry. Today they pastor a Wesleyan church in LaPorte City, Iowa. Kathey and her husband have 5 children and 11 grandchildren. She enjoys gardening, painting, cooking, photography, music and travelling. Kathey has had the pleasure of following Christ for her entire life, and she enjoys sharing His message of love with others.
The small group topics are adapted from Women of Faith, "Living A Life Of Balance." The 4 sessions are: The juggling act, schedules vs. interruptions, work vs. rest, and my wishes vs. God's will.
We will be blessed with the comedic routines of Chonda Pierce and Anita Refroe. Other fun activities include archery, a bb gun shooting contest, a ping pong tournament (singles and doubles), board games, jigsaw puzzles, and taking a tour of the area.
